Stanislaw Stempin is a Senior Engineering Lead for the Dynamics NAV Modern Developer Experience team. He is leading the team responsible for the new development environment including the new compiler and Visual Studio Code integration. Stanislaw joined Microsoft in 2007 working on Dynamics AX in Supply Chain Management, Inventory Costing and Cost Accounting areas.

Prior to Microsoft he worked as a software engineer creating hospital management and medical imaging software.

He holds an MSc degree in Computer Science with specialization in Distributed Systems from Poznan University of Technology, Poland.

The new Visual Studio Code based development tools and the new extension model are about to be shipped together with Dynamics NAV 2018. The new development tools and extension model are a necessity in order to transition Dynamics NAV from On-Premise to the Cloud.

Since we shipped the first preview last Christmas a lot of new features have been added. We will try to cover as many as possible in this session.
